How to Uninstall

To uninstall Merge:

  • Undo any changes you have made to make the Merge command-line utilities part of your path.

  • Delete any Araxis-related crash logs (those starting Araxis or araxis) from the folder /Users/<userid>/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports (where <userid> is your login id).

  • Remove the relevant Araxis Merge .workflow files from /Users/<userid>/Library/Services/.

  • If you have enabled the Merge extension for Finder, disable it as follows:

    • on macOS 13 Ventura and later, uncheck System Settings▸Privacy & Security▸Extensions▸Added Extensions▸Araxis Merge▸Finder extensions;
    • on macOS 12 Monterey and earlier, uncheck System Preferences▸Extensions▸Added Extensions▸Araxis Merge▸Finder Extensions.

  • If you wish to delete Merge settings, remove the /Users/<userid>/Library/Preferences/com.araxis.merge.plist file (where <userid> is your login id).

  • If you wish, remove the Araxis Merge item from your login keychain. This contains your Merge registration information, including your serial number.

  • Remove the Araxis Merge application from your system’s Applications folder.
